The nutrients, one by one

Vitamin B2 (riboflavin 5-phosphate). A B vitamin, given here in an already-activated form. At 0.5 mg it is a small supporting presence.

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxal 5-phosphate). Another B vitamin in its active form, also at 0.5 mg.

Melatonin, 0.9 mg. A compound the body makes in the evening, and one of the most familiar names in bedtime supplements. It leads the label and is the main reason this formula asks some buyers to check with a doctor first.

Red tart cherry juice concentrate. Cherry juice reduced to a concentrate, a staple of evening-themed drinks.

Magnesium glycinate. A form of the mineral magnesium bound to the amino acid glycine.

Apigenin. A plant compound found in chamomile.

Lemon balm extract. An herb used in traditional teas.

5-HTP (Griffonia seed extract). An extract of Griffonia seeds. It is the second reason to talk to a doctor first if you take antidepressants.

L-theanine. An amino acid best known from tea.

GABA. A naturally occurring compound that appears in many relaxation-themed formulas.

These are roles people commonly attach to the ingredients, not promises about this bottle.

How the parts match the seller’s thinking

The seller presents Yu Sleep as an evening aid for unwinding and sleeping more restfully, and it calls the formula “10 deep-sleep ingredients”. The idea is a layered one: melatonin as the familiar bedtime anchor, two B vitamins in the background and a blend of fruit, mineral, herb and amino acid ingredients with calming associations. We pass that along as the seller’s story, nothing more.

Why a short label still helps

Three of the four label lines come with their own milligram amount, so you can check them against your other supplements. If you already take a melatonin product, a magnesium product or a B-vitamin complex, put the labels side by side and show your doctor the full list.

The supporting ingredients

Distilled water and glycerin form the base. Medium invert syrup, erythritol, citric acid, sodium citrate, natural flavors, gum arabic, xanthan gum and potassium sorbate complete the liquid.
