What the team does

We research and write plain-language guides on weight loss, nutrition, metabolism and fitness, and buyer guides to health supplements and products. Each piece is drafted from primary sources and checked before it goes live: every number against its source, every product fact against the seller's own pages, and every link.

What we are qualified to say

We are not doctors, pharmacists or dietitians. We report what published studies, government health agencies and sellers' own documents say, and we label each claim with where it came from. We do not diagnose, prescribe or tell you to start or stop a medication. When a question needs a clinician, we say so.

We do not run laboratory tests or clinical trials. Unless a page says otherwise, we have not used the product it describes, and we never write as if we had.

Product guides and money

Product guides contain affiliate links. When you buy through one, the seller pays us a commission and your price stays the same. Sellers do not see guides before they are published, cannot buy a score or a place in a ranking, and cannot ask us to remove criticism. The scores you see are ours, worked out with the criteria in our methodology. We do not publish customer star ratings or testimonials we cannot verify.

Dates and corrections

The published date on a page is the day it first went live. When we change something that matters, such as a price, a refund term or a safety note, we update the page and its updated date. If you find a mistake, tell us and we will check it against the source and fix it.
